About the event
The First Peoples’ Assembly Statewide Gathering is a gathering of Indigenous Victorians, invited to join the conversations and hear updates from the democratically elected Assembly Members who represent regions from across Victoria.
The event was held at the MCG on significant cultural land, featuring the location of a scar tree in Yarra Park, where ceremony took place to open the gathering. We are aware many guests have mobility considerations which can be challenging given such a large venue with uneven ground. FGE successfully negotiated the ability to bring in all terrain buggies to support guests into these locations.
The event was ticketed using ‘print on-site’ lanyards, meaning guests could still register to attend on the day. The badges were printed on eco-friendly card and collected post event for re-use by the client.
As this event was a gathering of First Nations guests only, we respectfully assisted in stage managing only when the client needed support. We had appropriate designated team members within the room at all times, as approved by the client.
